Off Bali’s eastern coast lie the remains of a small vessel usually called the Japanese Shipwreck. Over decades, its metal structure has become covered in coral and home to many fish.
The great advantage is accessibility: in suitable conditions, experienced snorkellers can reach it without a full scuba dive.
Sunlight filters through the water, schools of fish circle the wreck, and its structure slowly dissolves into the living reef.
