Virgin Beach is tucked between the hills of Karangasem and feels very different from many southern beaches.
Spend a few easy hours swimming, taking a sunbed, ordering fresh fish or a coconut at a small beach warung and watching the ocean.
It works especially well in a larger eastern route after temples and palaces.
